What are the Advantages of Booking directly with us?
Booking direct is fast becoming the new trend in the Travel Industry around the world, not just for Rentals but for Hotels too. The main reason is that you can make considerable cost savings. The online travel agents such as Airbnb, VRBO and Booking.com have high administrative and marketing fees and these are passed onto you, the guest. But there are a lot of other advantages:
Better prices: Hosts offer favourable rates to book direct and you can save up to 15% on your booking.
More payment options: you can pay by credit card, just as you do with Airbnb or VRBO (we will send you a secure link to one of the platforms that we use) or you can choose to pay us directly with a bank transfer.
Identical cancellation policy: We operate exactly the same flexible cancellation policy as the online booking platforms. You have up to 14 days before you check in to cancel if necessary and get a full refund. (Check out our full cancellation policy on this page).
Direct Communication: Booking with us directly means that you are in communication with us from the very start. The big platforms do not allow you to exchange emails and phone numbers until they have secured your booking.
More flexibility: booking direct with us may help you to have more flexibility with specific requests since most of the large platforms have rigid policies in place.
Secure damage waiver: by booking direct, we can all have peace of mind that the booking is covered in the unlikely event that there is any accidental damage.

How do I book Direct?
1. Fill out the form: Click send inquiry. If those dates are available and you fulfil the requirements (only 6 guests, no pets etc), we will confirm your booking.
2. Payment: You will pay 50% deposit and 50% 14 days before your check in. (Or 100% if it’s within 14 days of check-in). You can choose to pay directly to our bank or with a credit card. Just let us know which is more convenient for you.
3. Damage Waiver: We’ll send you a link to Superhog to get verified and complete the accidental damage waiver. (read more about Superhog below).
4. Entry to Buenaventura Resort: Please be aware when you book: Buenaventura is an exclusive resort and in order to enter, guests over the age of 16 will need to provide a photo ID at the time of booking. Buenaventura will provide you with an entry code for the dates you are staying in the resort.

Cancellation Policy.
What happens if I need to Cancel?
If you need to cancel your booking because of unforeseen circumstances, such as a death in the family, we are very understanding, and we have put in place a flexible cancellation policy. (This is identical to the cancellation policy on the online travel agents).
- If you cancel up to 14 days before check in, you’ll get a 100% refund. (Less administration fee).
- If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, you get a 50% refund. (Less administration fee).
- If you cancel 7 days or less before check-in, there is no refund.
If you want to re-book your stay, we will do our very best to accommodate you for another date. However, we cannot guarantee availability nor the same rates. (Note: if we do agree to change the booking to another date, this will be a once only change. A second change of an original booking will not be permitted.)

We understand that there are inherent risks associated with renting out a property and that unforeseen accidents can occur at any time.
To ensure the safety and well-being of our guests, we take precautions to protect both parties involved.
For all of our rentals, whether you book directly with us or through another platform, we require that each guest signs a Rental Agreement. This agreement clearly outlines the responsibilities of both the guest and the host, and helps us maintain transparency and accountability throughout the rental process. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for everyone involved, and we appreciate your cooperation in this regard.
Damage waiver. Who are Superhog?
Peace of mind for you and for us
So as to protect our guests and our property, we’ve teamed up with a company called Superhog to put in place a simple customer validation and deposit process for our guests.
You will be asked to complete a quick verification process confirming your details , providing a live photo of yourself together with a copy of your Government photo ID or passport and an additional step to complete a deposit or an accidental damage waiver.
Superhog are a globally recognised trust and safety company that allows hosts and guests to confidently transact, therefore you can be assured that I am also a verified host.
Once you have booked, you will be emailed with a booking validation link to Superhog. We ask you to follow the link and instructions for validation and complete this as soon as possible after booking.
